So I'm paying my ISP for 150 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up but when I test it on my PC i'm lucky to get 2 Mbps down and 1Mbps up. I can browse the internet just fine but sometimes videos take forever to fully load and when i download anything from Steam (With absolutely nothing else open) i only get about a 450 Kbps download ..... Not only that but my Internet will be completely fine one moment and then disconnect for a few minutes the next and its stating to happen on a daily basis. Can someone please help me out with this? It's getting very annoying

if you need more details just ask, thanks

Call your ISP and have then pull the levels off your line, there may be noise or ingress causing your issues. Is there a noticeable difference between hard wired to the modem vs wireless? If you are connecting wirelessly it may do you good to switch your WiFi channel through your router's settings page. I would definitely start by calling your ISP and seeing what they can pull. Keep in mind most wiring has an average lifespan of 2 years before needing some sort of maintenance.

I'm using an Ethernet wall adapter for my PC that i just bought a month ago but these problems have been happening before that so I know that its not causing the problem. And i do sometimes have problems with my WiFi when I'm on my laptop or phone too. My internet actually just cut out again as i was typing this lol. I'll call my ISP in the morning and see what they have to say

on high speed cable speeds check with your isp on there info pages for a list of tested modems that are rated for your speed you want and make sure you have that modem. the newer modem are doci (sp) 3.0 and use channel bonding.
if your using your isp all in one modem and wifi router make sure guest network is off sop you dont have leachers on it. when the isp tech shows up if you have an older home have them change out your line splitters and make sure the cable modem on the first splitter. also have him check the wire from the street to your home and the junction on the outside of the home. check for water and see if it lose from age.

Good idea! If you're hard wired you shouldn't be experiencing any issues. Chances are, your levels are off. Get a technician out ASAP :)
