Fast Internet speed however slow internet browsing - (Works fine in safe mode)

Hi guys - my first post here and I really need help :s

Yesterday my browsing speed turned really slow - before this it was very fast and without any problems. My current internet speed (speedtest.com) shows 50mb+ download speeds.

I've tried running malware scans for malwarebytes & Bullguard, however to no avail - i'm no expert but I think the problem is a virus or malware as my internet works perfectly in safe mode with networking.
I'm currently using Internet Explorer however I have the same problem with Chrome - I tried running IE with no addons - I downloaded the latest version of java but with no success 🙁

I am using wired internet - I just clean boot'd my PC - browsing is slow even in clean boot
EDIT: I just changed my DNS settings to: 8.8.8.8 - now YouTube is fast and working fine, however other sites (like this one) is just as slow..

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

You should run Ccleaner. At the least you should wipe all cookies from your pc once a week.
Superanti spyware is good as well. It is likely your problems stem from something along these lines.

Ah, I wish I had those speeds lol. I'd keep the primary DNS to default which is just 0.0.0.0 and Google's 8.8.8.8 as the secondary. Perhaps try re-installing your favorite browser and see if that makes a difference.

EDIT: Turns out I can't even uninstall IE on windows 8 >.<

It's safe guarded so you can't, since you need a browser to access the internet. Delete either Chrome or Firefox and reinstall either one of those and test them instead. Keep me posted.

Have you done a full virus and malware scan? If it's working in safe mode it might be one of those. I'd suggest using Malwarebytes, it's a free download. Let me know how that goes.
