Fast Internet Speeds, Long Loading Times on Browsers

Hello everyone,

I've been having an issue with my laptop for a while involving long loading times in web browsers despite having 150 Mbps download speed. The problem happens in both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Speed Test always brings up the speed yet I always have to wait at least a few seconds before pages load fully. I am running Adblock in Chrome and use Avast as my main antivirus.

I recently swapped out the HDD for a Samsung 850 Pro 512 GB. Boot times are fast and apps open much more quickly than before but the browsing still seems slow. I tested this before re-installing Avast to see if that was the culprit to no avail. I've also booted into Safe Mode with Networking and the browsing doesn't seem to be that much faster. I have also tried messing with the DNS and MTU settings which didn't help.

If it helps, the laptop is a Sony Vaio VPCEB15FX which I've had for about 6 years. I am running Windows 10. I realize that there are many threads out there dealing with this issue but I would like to see if anybody has other suggestions I could try.

Thanks in advance for the help.

under the network device check for jumbo packets and send and receive packet size. if your ethernet hardware lets you use more system ram to send and revive more data. try turning the settings up. the other thing to do is set up a ram drive or 3 party tool that reloads web pages from hard drive if they have not been changed. also give the browser more storage room to leave temp files.

I have a Marvell Yukon 88E8059 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller. Under Properties, I was able to increase the Jumbo Packet Size from 1514 to 9014. It didn't seem to help. Under the Resources tab, I am unable to change the memory range.
