Fast new PC?

Hi, would this PC be really fast? I don't need it for gaming, hence no dedicated graphics card! Would all the components work together, are there the necessary connections, power supply high enough voltage etc (I'm a PC building novice). Also, can you see any way to make it cheaper, any alternative parts you can suggest, as I want to get it as close to £300 as possible!.

Not really. If you want a fast pc, go for a trinity cpu, then get an ssd.

This is so much faster than mylesmpc's build its not even funny. Don't get a $20 GPU with an i3 cpu.... Lets be real. A g860 sandy bridge with a hd 7770 is so much better than what he recommended. On a side note, if you can afford a little get the gtx 650 ti! (or for just a tad more get the hd 7850 and you will be in aww for your budget).

He said he wasn't going to game, so a beefy graphics card isn't needed. Plus he said he wanted to keep the price as low as possible, and that is what I was trying to do. I think an i3 will give him the power he needs while staying in his budget.
