Hello

I just finished my build, it work perfect, but i have one problem.
I can't startup in less than 25 seconds (6700K and SSD)!

I turned fastboot on in my bios, but at every startup the POST starts.
there are 4 leds on my mobo (ASUS 170Z pro gaming) it take 1,5 seconds to pass the CPU and RAM test
and then after 7seconds (counted from pressing the start button)
the asus logo appears and the VGA led goes off.
then it take again 5 second for the windows logo to appear (boot device led switches of)

so to enter to the windows load screen is take more than 12 seconds.
I can't beleve it's normal.

I already took my GTX1070 and 1RAM card out, but it stays the same.
When i turn fastboot off. I see no difference either!
I also updated the bios to version 1904

Is there something wrong with my mobo or are there some settings I did wrong?
Everything is on default now.

(another strange thing is: when I enter the bios, my SSD isn’t in the boot priority list but I can see it in my SATA information and can click it in my boot menu)

I know it isn’t a big problem, but it’s nice when a brand new computer starts up very fast and I if my mobo isn’t working well, I want to know it now and maybe I can send it back

Hope someone can help

Have you tried flashing the MOBO and reconfiguring? sometimes a simple reset and setup can resolve.
I don't believe the fast boot actually decreases the boot up time to much tbh, I would suggest Flashing the MOBO then making sure everything you don't need is left of to reduce the processes/checks run at start up.

Not sure how much help this will be but a quick check online states that the fast boot isn't actually that fast a boot on the ASUS 170Z pro gaming

Thanks for the quick respons!

Yes I flashed it to the new version (but this didn't help)
I already removed as much as possible, but it stay the same (maybe 1second less)

i already googled the startup time and I saw someone with the same specs that enters W10 in 10 seconds.
So it should be possible the boot faster 🙁

There is an option in your bios to hold the bios testing display results, or the splash screen logo for the Asus board to mask the post testing procedure.

It can be set to wait for about ten seconds by default, and can be found under the advanced selection of the bios setup options of your motherboard Tarantino.

Set it to wait for one second.

You also have an initialisation sequence for such things as the usb ports of the system if it supports up to 14 or more Usb ports via internal board connections for extra usb ports as well as the main ones provided on the motherboard.

It can be set to full initialisation or part.
And you have a section where each usb port can be disabled or enabled based on the amount you wish to run.

Make sure the SSD drive is always connected to the very first Sata port of the motherboard, and that if the Sata based SSD drive is sata 3.0 compliant that it is connected to a Sata 3.0 port of the motherboard again on the first Sata 3.0 enabled port of the motherboard.

Make sure the SSD drive is set as the first boot device for Legacy booting, but also by scrolling down the same boot page that it is selected as the first device out of the two entries for Uefi boot able devices also.

thanks for this info! I just checked it.
Is it called POST delay time? This is already on 0sec.

the SSD is in the first Sata port. at the boot option priotities it's the first one too.
after there is the menu: boot override, there my 3 drives are listed and SSD is the first.

i disabled al the usb port but there was no difference.

Does the Fast boot require something else? I don't need to have something enabled on my GPU?
and in my SSD? because CPU and RAM are very fast passed trough the POST but i'm losing time on the 2 others.
it's also possible that this is the point where "fastboot" is needed, tis pass this in 1 second too. which isn't here 🙁
