Fatal DirectX error

I updated my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 and started getting a dll error in hitman absolution. I downloaded the dll and fixed the problem but started getting the following error-

The game has encountered a DirectX error and needs to close

are u installed DX ?

No I have not installed directX but whenever i do I get the error your pc has equal or higher version of directX installed. Im using windows 8.1. I dont think direct X is the problem as shadow of mordor , farcry 4, walking dead season 2 works fine.

Yes ,then only im able to play farcry 4 , shadow of mordor
