[SOLVED] Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X Motherboard compatibility with Ryzen 5 3600 cpu

Hello,

I am looking at getting a Fatal1ty X370 Gaming X motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor however I am not sure if the motherboard comes with the required bios I need to use the cpu. Does this motherboard come with the bios needed? If not, can I update it? I don't have any other Ryzen CPUs

Why do you want to buy an old motherboard that is sold for 400 dollars now? Just buy a B550 motherboard at 170 dollars like the B550 Tomahawk max instead.

And no. This board doesn't have the BIOS update needed for the 3600.

I can get it for 72 US where I am looking and its a budget build, Can I update it with the cpu being unsupported at first?

Still. Don't buy a X370 for 72 US. There are B550 board and B450 board at that price.

To update a x370 to support the 3600 you need a supported CPU to put in first that is supported by the board to flash the BIOS before installing the 3600.

If a B450 or B550 is 20-30 dollars more. Save and go for one. Just don't buy a used x370 board for a Zen 2 CPU.

How is that board not used? That's a 400 dollars board on Amazon and everywhere I saw it. Give me the link of that board at 70 dollars.

It was 70 dollars on aus pc part picker although when I click the link it doesn't appear... I assume pc part picker is broken. I guess I am looking at a B450 or B550 now. Thanks for your help
