Speaking of hacks, why haven't you guys covered the Lenovo/ZTE/Supermicro malicious hardware story, at all?
Is that the story where Bloomberg claims that a malicious chip resides on certain SuperMicro servers that were only sold to certain customers that everyone involved is saying is completely false?
That sounds like it. Whether or not it's false, I'd expect some coverage of the whole issue on PC news sites like Tom's.
If we're talking about the same story, Tom's did cover it.
Really? I didn't see it in the news feed. Search turns up nothing.
Link?
BTW, I haven't read too much about it, but most of the denials are by cloud providers that would stand to lose business if it were true, and others talking about why they think it seems unlikely. Basically, all circumstantial. I haven't read anyone who's actually reviewed the evidence provided by Bloomberg and debunked it.
Lately, I don't trust Tom's to honestly cover the industry. The reviews seem legit, but I can easily imagine them skipping a controversy that would embarrass a big advertiser.
