I'm looking to start a completely new build to replace my current gaming mid-tier system. But I'm struggling to choose my CPU-Board-Memory trio due to my lack of knowledge.

At the moment, I'm not looking at other components such as PSU, storage, etc...
Here's what I have so far:

  • Processor: Core i5 6600k S1151
    Cooling: Corsair Hydro H110i
    Motherboard: Asus Z170 Deluxe
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR4 LPX 2400Mhz
I'm looking for a DDR4 build that plays well with my EVGA GTX 970 (Superclocked Edition). My budget for the above set of components is around €900/£700/$1000.

Any feedback appreciated :)

Thanks. I did some extra research and decided to go for the i5 660k as you suggested.

Unfortunately I'm tied down to buying from local stores due to varius reasons, which don't have the Asus Z170-A, but I i think I found the next best thing. Updated original post.

Very nice!

Just one thing, I'm trying to go for a white-like build with a white Corsair 780T. Are there any motherboards with white or neutral colors in the same functionality and price ranges?

White coloured ones are costly.
