Hello all. This is my first time posting. I'm building my first ever PC and I was hoping to get some advice and feedback about the parts I've picked out.

This build will be used only for gaming (e.g. Path of Exile, World of Warships) and I have no plans to try overclocking or liquid cooling in the near future. I'm not looking to try VR or run all my settings on ultra. This is purely to have a decently powerful rig to run most games on good settings and have a little flexibility for future upgrades.

Below is the list of parts I've selected based on research from various websites. I'll avoid some details like extra fans, peripherals, etc. Thanks in advance for your help!

- Case: Fractal Design R5
- Motherboard: ASRock Fatality Z-170 K4
- Power: EVGA SuperNOVA 850
- CPU: Intel i5 6600K
- GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G
- RAM: 8GB G.Skill DDR4-2400
- SSD: 500GB Samsung 850 EVO

Combined price before taxes of the above parts as of 21 Aug 2016 is approximately US$1200.

If you are okay with spending a bit extra to get big power boost here is the build:

Don't know at what resolution you will be gaming but GTX1080 will give a good boost over GTX1070
