Female SATA to Female Molex to Male Molex to PCIe

Hello,

I need to add a second hard drive to a machine, but due to how it was built previously room is an issue (another problem for another day at the moment). I need to connect a female sata to 4-pin female molex to a 4-pin make molex to 6-pin PCIe into the PSU. I have the cables, but is this dangerous to do? Is there a better way to do this?

Thats not going to work because the PCI-E has no 5 volt wire.

How do I use the cable you linked if the hard drive need a female sata power and the psu only takes pcie?

Do NOT use just any old cable to connect to your modular PSU, you're inviting a visit by the Fire Fairy, as well as risking damage to various components. Get the proper cable from the PSU manufacturer, they are make/model specific.
