Im from greece so all prices are in euros. I ll use the pc mostly for gaming, programming, web developing, virtual box and maybe some editing/rendering so i will multitask all the time. So my question is my build ok (Z97 i7 4790k) or should i stretch out my budget and go for an x99 i7 5820k build.?? the x99 build costs 150 euros more. My budget is 2000 euros.

Here are the parts i chose for my new build: (Z97)

Case: PHANTEKS ENTHOO PRO BLACK WINDOW - 115.93

PSU : EVGA SUPERNOVA 750 G2 POWER SUPPLY 750W - 129.90

X99 BUILD

ALL THE SAME EXCEPT THE OBVIOUS PARTS

FINAL PRICE :1752.57

Also i need a monitor : LG 27MP65HQ-P 27'' IPS LED MONITOR FULL HD BLACK - 237.9

So is it really x99 worth the 150 euros more.? if you noticed i didn't include a cpu cooler. i was thinking something like corsair 105,100i or coolermaster 240 or enermax liqtech 240 ( that's an extra 100/ any suggestions?). will the x99 build last longer or will it last the same as th z97.? i would like the build to last 3-4 years without a need for upgrade.

Also if you have other suggestions for the parts they are more than welcome.!

Sorry in advance for the so many questions. im a newbie pc builder 😛

unfortunately here in greece we don't have an e shop in english so if you have suggestions just write them down and dont worry about the prices.!

Based on your needs, and on future-proofing, you`ll be better off with the X99 build.
Now, I don`t usually recommend this over the i7 4790K, because most of that 150+ euros is just you paying for the premium and the bragging rights.

However, if the price difference is not a problem for you, I would recommend you to go for the most performant build that you can, and in this case, it`s the X99.

Well, my bad. In my mind I was thinking about the gamers that went with the X99 just for the bragging rights, the guys that don`t actually benefit from that extra CPU power. I seem to have failed to transpose this into text.
Anyway, as I mentioned in my previous post, if the budget is not a problem, the X99 is better suited for the OP`s needs.
