so I have a HP Pavillion HPE (i7 3770, 3.4 ghz, 12 GB ram). It came with a GT 640 graphics card, and I want to upgrade to a GTX 960.

However I hear that the GTX 960 needs a 500W power supply, and I believe (haven't checked) that this computer has a 300W power supply.

So I assume it's best not to risk getting the GTX 960, and instead get a new power supply as well as new graphics card. But what power supply do I get that'll fit my case?

Alternatively, what's a decent graphics card that'll run pretty much every game at 60 fps on *any* settings (not looking for maxed out/ultra) - for around £150-160. Thanks for any help!

I can't help you much with an online store as im from the States, but to get a GTX 960 working, you want a name brand PSU, something like Corsair, Seasonic, XFX.

Here is a Corsair CS450M 80+ Gold http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139058
Though you wont be able to buy from that site.

80+ gold you really do not need, it can 80+ bronze as long as its a decent brand. And its a 450watt, the 960 wont need more then that regardless of whats on the box, they usually over estimate things.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151136 550watt Seasonic which is over from what your system really needs, you could even run a GTX 980ti off of this without issues.

Sorry I couldn't help anymore. and them...
