I have 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-1115G4 @ 3.00GHz 8.00 GB RAM, 500GB SSD(C(200GB Free out of 275GB)and D(165 GB Free out of 199GB) drive , 64-bit operating system, laptop, just 5 months old Lenovo Laptop, it was working smoothly till 3 days ago, but from last 3 days it is giving trouble regarding File Explorer functions, even basic functions like opening a folder, subfolder, even right click menu doesn't appear for 3 -4 minutes after click, all the other installed/original software are working fine as before. Moving data from folder to folder works fine at its usual pace, even desktop refresh works fine, but everything regarding file explorer function is lagging, I have tried most of the common remedies like restart, clear history, temp file delete, even restored windows to previous date version, but nothing worked, plz Help.

Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.

one thing you could try is start PC up and go into bios and just leave PC in bios for a few hours as it could be ssd needs to run some processes it can't while in windows. Perhaps overnight so you not wasting your...

That is easier to understand if you take screenshot of program and upload image to a image sharing website and show link here.
I should have said that...

drive looks good though.

could use this but it appears it only checks smart, although it might update firmware - https://www.micron.com/products/ssd/storage-executive-software

open command prompt (admin)
type chkdsk X: /f and press enter (Note: replace X with drive letter)
2 paragraphs will pop up, agree to run at restart
restart PC to run scan.
you may not need to restart for D, I am not sure.

i did both the things as you suggested, did try chkdsk, restarted system, it did asked to restart for both the drives, n also installed storage-executive-software , it showed i have latest firmware, so no need to update. checked the still no improvements. 1 more thing i have noticed, whenever i am trying to right click on any other application(on desktop) it works instantly, but whenever i try to do the same with some folder on desktop, it takes 2-3-4 minutes, i also thought about sharing the image of the crystadisk stats, but it was taking forever to reach n share image, i got impatient.

tried safe mode?

  1. go to settings/system/recovery
  2. next to advanced startup, click restart now button
  3. this restarts PC in a blue menu
  4. choose troubleshoot
  5. choose advanced
  6. choose startup settings
  7. click the restart button
  8. choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
  9. Pc will restart and load safe mode

could mean its a driver

Can you download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html

All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any (this is intentional as 3rd party driver updaters often get it wrong)

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

Please take a screenshot from (and including)Driver name to (and including)Creation date.

upload it to an image sharing website and show link here

I see if you have any drivers that might be cause. Could be an intel driver

have you gone to Lenovo website for laptop and run the auto update feature? could be something there.

We could uninstall Intel rapid storage tech drivers, if it doesn't make any difference you can also put them back on again.

I tried all 3 things as you suggested but its still the same. I did the Clean boot with all the non - Microsoft services disabled, but file explorer still lags, 1 more thing to add, whenever I start the laptop, in the beginning the lag is less, but as more n more time passes, more I use, lag timing starts increasing
