File Explorer Tree not 'opening' as subfolders are explored

Hi. When I'm in File Explorer, Computer, in the left pane is the tree and the right pane are the drives. If I click C, then a folder, then a sub folder, another subfolder, and so on, the left pane tree doesn't move. In Vista the tree would expand and keep opening levels as you go deeper and deeper in the folders.

Not having the tree open as I go is very, well, disconcerting and more importantly, counter productive. Is there a way to have the tree react as the subfolders are opened?

Thanks!

Thanks, but Show All Folders was already checked.

As an example, lets say I'm in the root C drive. In the right pane I double click Users then Public then Documents. The path is showing as C:\Users\Public\Documents, but in the left pane tree I'm still sitting in the root folder, not Documents.
