[SOLVED] file/folder encryption in Windows not working

Hi, so I have a folder and also a single text file that I encrypted using windows (right-click/properties/general tab/advanced/and checked the box to encrypt the file) .. I then double checked by re-checking the file properties and it was still checked off as encrypted. It indicates that only someone logged in with my PC user account can access the file and it shows you the encryption certificate. So as a test, I emailed the file to myself and accessed/opened the email using another PC. I had no problem opening and viewing the file. What gives?

it encrypted is on that pc windows system. it doesn't transfer with email attachment

use something like pgp if you need to encrypt attachment
