G'day. this will probably be a blast from the past for some of you since this is a file not used since 2010 when it was completely neutralized. but I recently opened an external hard drive that hasn't been used since 2008 or so, one of those big bulky 1tb ones with a wall socket power cable. and in one folder there were a few songs. mp3 files from the kazaa/limewire days I would guess. in them, my antivirus flagged several EXP/ASF.getcodec.gen's. my antivirus removed them, but I was mostly wondering what the file actually does? most viruses, malware, and malicious programs have specific purposes, but I haven't been able to find anything about this one except a bunch of forum posts from 2009 about how to remove them.
