I have a PC (Windows 10 x64 ) with TB3 and I'd like to transfer files to and from my 2019 MacbookPro with TB3.

I've tested all the TB3 ports and they all work on both the PC and Mac. I've got them connected using a TB3 cable. Now what do I do?

I would love to be able to send files back and forth.
Thanks,

Solution
The problem is on my side.
Its been years since I last tried a peer to peer connection.
And my memory is blanked on the subject.

The thunderbolt 3 cabling is merely a new generation to connect between MS and Mac world.
It basically establishes a data connection between the 2 different PC systems OS's

I found this on the mac side:

and

which has a few words on the MS PC side

It could be that simple, that you must find the other PC in the list of connected devices in the file manager. then copy a file to this device.

Or you must first setup a file repository for the transfer on each PC.
I really dont know.
Consult the Thunderbolt manual, reading a user manual sometimes gives those nice ahaaah ...

Nothing is working so far.
I really wish there was more information regarding this out there. This would be a huge time saver if I could get it to work.
Thanks for your help anyway.

Please note, in USB term, one device should be defined as device, and another as host.
Host powers up the device using a 5Vcc.

PCs(a mac, and a windows machine) are known as USB host by default, so they provide that 5Vcc, instead of required it.
So mind, when two USB host nodes connect together, they will assume the other side as device, and conflicts begins here! The worst case is about that 5Vcc could be dangerous.

Make sure you have defined one of the sides as device. I'm not sure if it's even possible!(never tried it, neither imagine).

More far better option is networking systems.
