I just installed a new hard drive. Right now the new drive is H. The source
is D. When I am done, the old D will be removed and H will be returned to
the D position. Consequently, I am moving data around so I copied everything
from the D drive to the H drive using the MaxBlast 3 software that came with
the drive. All files were copied except : H:/System Volume
Information/MountPointManagerRemoteDatabase The reason claimed was:Failed
to open destination file.

Should I care about this? What is it and how do I rectify this?

Thanks....

Paul

System Volume Information holds the restore points for System Restore. This
folder will automatically clear when drive layout changes so, no -- this is
not something you should care about. You can skip that folder.

I had the same when I used W-D Lifeguard,F:/System Volume
> Information/MountPointManagerRemoteDatabase unable to open, when I started to use the drive it wouldn't create a restore point would send report for crash to MS.That was to copy drive C:\ to F:\,Iformated it and used the drive to drive option and it worked fine.Tried this on another computer for a friend, same thing restore wouldn't work.Try it,if it don't work then format and use a different option to copy the drive.Good Luck!
