Hi all - XP Pro w/SP2
While I've had XP installed for a while, I just recently had time to really
start using it. So, I transferred my files from my W2K drive using the XP
Files transfer Wizard method. However, I still show all my files still on
the W2K drive folders as well. But...Dang! Now, when working in my programs
on the W2K drive, when I try to access some files I get a error dialog box
that tells me they are not available, giving the correct path and folders
for the W2K drive, but, when I check where the files are actually trying to
be loaded from, it is on the XP drive folder, not the W2K drive folder.
In the initial setup of XP, my first thoughts were to just copy over all the
files to the XP drive, but, I was advised that it was best to use the XP
Wizard, thus, I did so. Although, I do need to continue to work on the W2K
drive until such time as I have the XP program running properly, and even
then with some programs that will not work with XP.
I am a bit confused, so I am hoping someone can get point me in the right
direction. I am not so far into the XP setups that I can't fall back and
regroup if that is what it takes. Practice makes perfect......
