Files corrupt for no reason

I often experience crashes in different games and it´s always that either the game files or windows files themselves are corrupt.
I know how to repair them but they keep getting korrupt again.
My hard drive is a 1TB Seagate Compute which I bought late summer last year and everything else still works fine with her.
I know killing the PSU switch without a proper shutdown or force closing programmes can cause such corruptions and therefore I don´t do that anymore.
But my files keep getting corrupt.
How do I prevent that from happening?

+1 for Lutfij's suggestion, grab our free diagnostic software they mentioned, SeaTools, from their link. Run a long generic test, because the shorter tests will run faster but will only pick some sectors at random to test, while the long generic will test every sector of the drive. Takes awhile but it's thorough.

In addition to testing the hard drive, also test the ram. If you have bad ram, it will corrupt files written to the hard drive. Seatools is great for testing hard drives, but you'll need to run something like MemTest86+ to verify. I would go this route if the hard drive tests come back clean.
