So I'm trying to download a file to my computer "It's potentially a virus file" I disable ALL virus and security settings to run it and i disabled the secure boot on the advance settings for my mother board but it still says "Router firewall blocking, trying DNS settings" I've even try closing the port through command prompt still nothing, really not sure what to do.

What is driving the requirement to download a potential virus file?

Disabling AV and other security protections on the PC is not at all recommended - even if you believe that the desired file is safe.

What file type?

= = = =

However if the router is blocking the file (as I understand your post) then that is an entirely different matter.

You will need to work with the person who has full admin rights to the router.

file type: Application (.exe) and i have full access rights to the router how would i go about that? does running a ethernet cable to the pc change anything?

In which case you have the router's login information and its' User Guide/Manual in order to read the logs and to make any necessary configuration/security changes.

There are no work-arounds and Forum rules prohibit such assistance.
