New build parts arriving, but I still have a few questions and will likely have more as I start putting things together.

This is build is primarily for after effects, 4k+ video editing, cinema 4d + octane, and some unreal engine.

- AMD Ryzen 9 7950X 4.5 GHz 16-Core Processor

- Aorus x670 elite ax rev 1.3

- G.Skill Flare X5 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-5200 CL36

- 3x Crucial P3 Plus 4 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive

- ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 56.3 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

- Three front intake, one rear exhaust - be quiet! Silent Wings 4 51.3 CFM 140 mm Fan

- Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL ATX Full Tower Case

QUESTIONS:

Debating a 4090 24gb or If I should wait / if I can get a 50 series?

Can I plug a monitor into the mobo to test post without the GPU?

Do I do anything to the bios before I install the CPU? Board has a dedicated qflash

Do I do anything to the bios after I boot to setup the 5200 ram? EXPO?

What is the ideal install across my 3 main NVME drives for OS, applications, working files (current projects), and general working asset files (assets I use on most projects)

^ After effects projects with 4k - 8k video are upwards of 20-30gbs // UE5 projects 100+ GBs (finished projects backed up externally)

Im watching as many install videos and reading as much as I can, but any help is appreciated

Thanks

For questions:
Wait for a 50-series card.
Yes, 7950x contians iGPU.
Not necessary but you can do that.
Yes, try expo and check if your system is still stable.

Why so slow RAM, 6000MHz Cl30/32 is not much more expensive. Jobs for creative work station rely on quantity and RAM performance.

Im currently still on DDR4 3600 so this is still a big upgrade.

The mobo recommended 5200, my thought was a balance of speed and stability but I was torn between 4x32 or 2x48 so this is a starting point

I will point out through recent experience that even attempting 4 sticks of DDR5 XMP/EXPO memory is pretty tricky. So sticking to the slower speeds is 'good' if you are planning to add sticks later. That said, the best I got out of 4x32GB was 4800, and it wasn't too happy about it. If I messed with the settings it tended to boot, after failed memory training, with DDR5 3600.

2x48GB is what I would recommend for a creator build today. Now you can find 5600 kits and even 6000 kits that will work.

If you plan to stick with 64GB, then I agree 6000/6400 CL30/CL32 is readily available and works just fine.

2x48is better for higher speeds. MB supports up to 8000MHz there's no recommendation for 5200MHz, just a note that above it is considered OC for Ryzen memory controller. 6000MHz is most common and easily attainable.

Is there a specific set you recommend?
