Final Thoughts on this Gaming Rig Before I Pull the Trigger!

The plan is to add another GPU in a couple months. I know the 6gb 780 is coming soon, but I think just the regular 6gb 780 is going to be a step back from the 3gb 780 ti w/ superclock. I don't mind waiting for the 6gb ti w/ superclock.

That being said, any last minute changes before I pull the trigger on this? Or does it look good.

Maybe get a beefy cpu cooler like H100i or Dark Rock Pro 3 if you are overclocking.

When I add the second 780ti, I will add an additional monitor at the same time.

Well other than saving some money on a few parts the build looks great. But you could save around $300. Also you don't need 16gb ram for gaming.

Good looking build, the Hyper 212 is plenty unless expecting a 4.5 or higher OC

i personally would do things differently for the sake of higher performance. if you ran those two samsung pros in raid 0 you would get tremendous throughput but its not going to equate to higher gaming performance, maybe slightly faster loading times. i changed it out for a full tb of slightly slower evo tech. i threw a phanteks on there as it easily compares to h100i for less of a headache, i personally thing you need a full loop if you need extreme cooling over a phanteks. even if you plan on running a full custom water loop, the maximus hero is still more than capable of bringing the 4770k to 5.0ghz as long as the loop is extreme. the classified is the beast to overclock though if you want that. also 860w seasonic platinum status is more than enough for even some moderatly high overclocks... say 4770k@4.8ghz and two 780ti classys@1.35ghz. changed out your ram from cas11 2133 to cas10 2133.

Hmm I would say the looks of the Formula most likely make up why the board is so expensive,but it does also offer a lot of other features which you can see on the website such as its shielding.

I chose the G.Skill ram for the price.

I could go GSkill I suppose. Seemed most people were for the Corsair. Originally I was looking at the GSkill Trident and had been convinced the Vengeance Pro as better lol. So confusing!!

I've run a lot of both, GSkill has been the innovative leader for a few years now, and many of the other manufacturers have been following their leads, i.e. in mid 2012 GSkill had a variety of 2400/10 sticks out in large quantity sets (32GB as example) Corsair followed up but not really till 2013....GSkill has been my primary choice sine around 2009/2010 (also starting helping out on their forums about that time, have been an Admin there for a few years now)
