From what I've read, unless I'm planning on crossfiring (which at the moment I'm not with my 550-650W PSU and my budget CPU), or am going to play in a very high resolution (like 4K, which again, I'm not), the difference will be so minuscule I won't even notice it.

Hey, just wanted to give a quick update/question thing (again, if you're still here) :)

So all I have left to order is the case, the DVD/CD writer, the Wi-Fi adapter, and the OS 😀
I've got my RAM and Video Card in transit at the moment, but it seems that DirectCanada (who I ordered from cause free shipping) isn't currently in stock of the RAM (I think?), because I ordered it on the 25th of June... I don't know what else would be holding them up, but I'm not too worried about it.

But the real reason for me starting this up again was because I was wondering, since the "max supported memory" for the FX-6300 (as said by AMD) is DDR3-1866, is there any point in me overclocking my RAM any higher, like to 2133? (I got the 1866 because there was a low-spike in the price and I got it for ~$80)

Again, thanks a lot for all your help :)

EDIT: Literally just got my RAM and Video Card from the Purolator guy about 10 minutes ago 😀 (this is the day after)

You could try to make that ram run faster, but do it just for the experience or the fun.You won't notice the difference in day to day use.I also read here, point made by tradesman1,that the memory controller of the fx isn't that great so it might not even get to 2133.Doesn't mean you can't try though.😉 In the end to say that there's a point in it ... no there isn't.

Thanks 😀 Yeah, I'm really happy with it, and it's so much better than my old pc, it's hard to even compare the two! This may be my last time talking to you, so I would just like to say thank you one last time for being so helpful throughout this whole process.
Cheers,
Ford.
