Are these parts compatible? Do you see any changes that could a) save me a few dollars, or B) get me better performance with a few extra dollars.
Will i be able to get a decent overclock?
Did I select an appropriate motherboard?
Am i forgetting anything?

I personally would choose http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157296 as the motherboard instead, just to save some money, but I don't see any problems with the one that you have now.

I think you have a solid build here, everything is compatable, you'll get great performance, and you'll be able to get a good overclock on your CPU with that cooler.

I'd prefer Gigabyte to Asrock anyday. Had a bad experience with buying a build using asrock mobo for my friend who was on a budget and wanted to build a gaming pc. After one month use, the mobo died...yeah, so I think your build is awesome!

That's a very nice build.
My suggestions are not criticisms of what you have chosen, but are attempts to answer your questions.
You can drop down to a 650W PSU for that build. The Capstone is fine; you just don't need 750W.
You won't need a full tower case unless you're planning to add a stack of drives later. Check out the Rosewill Blackhawk, which comes with five fans: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147107
You may wish to add a 128GB non-Sandforce drive such as a Samsung 830 or Crucial M4. There have been some good deals on them lately.
According to Frostytech.com, the Xigmatek Gaia cools better than the Hyper 212+, is within a degree of the Hyper 212 EVO, and is quieter than either one. I have two of them, and they work well for me.
If that mobo has the ports and connectors you want, it should be fine.

Although I've had mostly good results from ASRock mobos, the Gigabyte board does appear to have better VRM cooling than the one koudou suggested. For someone planning to overclock, that could be important.
...although you should not feel compelled to OC. If your performance is adequate at stock, the only thing an OC does is use more power and produce more heat.

Everything seems fine to me. But you over overpaying WAY too much for a case, for which half of the space you won't even use. You could lower the cost up to $50 just by downgrading the case. Would this be a case that you would like?

And this may be a dumb suggestion but I'd get this Media Drive instead. The one you listed doesn't seem to having any burning capabilities, and only comes with 198KB of cache. No idea how much it helps, but this MSI one has 10.3 times the amount of cache. Also it isn't OEM and comes with a manual and SATA cable.

Oh? I didn't realize! Thanks for pointing that out. The price between the two seem to be pretty drastic though, and OP should consider how much he's willing to pay for better cooling. It could be worth it though.

I also think that cases are a matter of preference, though I do think that the one he has now seems to be a tad expensive.

I respect all the input on the case, but as this is my first build, i would rather have too much space rather than too little (cable management etc...). When i get more into computer building, i assume i can reuse the case later when i will actually need the space. Its really not very much more expensive then the suggestions here (comes with a 30 dollar promo code). Again, thanks for all the help
