Earlier this week I finally got to order a 5800x. I picked out a motherboard for the CPU and Discovered that the power supply I have does not have a 4 pin connector to attach to the motherboard. According to PC part picker the 4 pin connector is not necessary but I am worried for a downgrade in performance or it not working at all. So I have come up with two solutions. The first being the obvious one in buying a new power supply that has the connections I need or since it is a 600 watt power supply buying a Molex to atx 4 (such as this https://www.amazon.com/TeamProfitco...rds=4+pin+atx+connector&qid=1606460385&sr=8-6) and using it to get the extra cable I need. I don't think there would be any problems with doing this but I have come to this reddit to hopefully get a final answer.

TLDR- Power supply doesn't have enough cables for motherboard, wondering if I can use a molex to atx 4 as a workaround.

Don't you have another 8pin connector. ? Most 8pin connectors can be snapped apart.
The 4pin connection is not necessary on many motherboards and is there to supply backup power to the Motherboard VRMs when extra power is needed when Overclocking the CPU.

Either the system will not boot without it or it will be OK.

Corsair GS 600 W 80+ Bronze is NOT the best PSU for your build.
