Finding motherboard compatible with GTX 1060 & intel i5 .

I recently my motherboard didn't seem to work anymore. The current specs were recommended by a PC building shop, but NOW i doubt they picked a compatible Motherboard with my GTX 1060.

my current specs ,
CPU : intel S1151 core i5-6400 2.7GHz *
RAM : g.skill 8gb
power supply : AEROCOOL AF SERIES AF-550 / 550W
graphics : Geforce GTX 1060
motherboard : biostar hi-fi b150s1 d4

other spec :
HDD int seagate
SSD pendrive rapid 128GB

I'm really new to PC building so i don't know much.
I wanna know what motherboard SHOULD i buy? i wouldn't mind spending money 'cause i just want it to work.
but the cheaper , the better 😀

Lots of/most motherboards will work with a GTX1060; the main problem with your question is there are/were multiple generations of i5 processors on several different sockets...

Example: there is an I5-2500S (socket 1155) that is about 6 years old, and the one year old i5-6400 on socket 1151....the latter will function on H110/B150/Z170 and the more recent 200 series mainboards as well....
