I'm really BAD on the laptop and maybe a little paranoid about internet
security. I accidently deleted my firewall as I thought it was a game!!!!
My son somehow got the application back on the laptop, but now its
disappeared again (must stop hitting random buttons)!!!!
Can anyone advise me how to get it back????

Since we don't know what you did or what firewall you are/were running,
it's not possible to give you specific advice. How did you delete the
firewall? Did you actually go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall a
third-party firewall? Or did you just delete an icon off the desktop?
Post back with some more information and we'll be able to help you.

A better idea would be to have a knowledgeable friend come over and walk
you through some basic computer steps or hire a local professional to
work with you for a while until you feel more confident. I am not
saying this to hurt your feelings; if you know more you will be happier
and more productive. The Dummies series of books is good in spite of
the unfortunate title.
