First boot, stock fan and custom airblock

For the initial boot of my new system is it necessary I put on the stock fan for the cpu, or can I get away with leaving it raw? I have a custom air cooler I want to attach, but I really don't want the hassle of putting on the stock fan to only take it off.

what do you mean leave it raw?

dont start it without a heatsink

yes you can just put the custom cooler on you dont need to do the stock one first then take it off

If you boot it without a heatsink you will damage it. So do not do it unless you want to buy another cpu.
