Hello,
I just joined this forum and will try to build my own PC for the first time. So Im looking for some help. Im not very knowledgeable about what parts to buy and thats the biggest concerns to me. So it would be a big help if someone could help to choose parts. Im would like to buy it by the end of the next week.

MY budget range is around 2.5k~$. PC would be used mostly for top-end gaming, watching movies, surfing the internet.
Parts not required would be mouse,keyboard,OS,speakers,Blu-ray Drive.
I dont have preferred site, its good as long as they give the best price/quality in USA.
I newer tried to over-clocking PC, but building this one I would like to try it. Definettly crossfire.
I still havent decited what monitor to buy. But Im leaning toward Dell 2408WFP 24" LCD Monitor, http://www.nextag.com/ultrasharp-2408wfp-prices/products-html . Resolution 1920x1200.

Thanks for your suggestions. But it would be great if someone could anwser me about graphic cards and Im wondering should I stick with p55ibexpeak suggestion or someone have something better to offer ?

In general, the Seagate 7200.11s are not recommended, and you should go with the newer .12s for storage drives.

2x 5970 is probably overkill at the moment, and I'm not certain that the 850W power supply that was recommended would supply enough power for two 5970s.

You are probably better off buying 1x 5970 or 2x 5870 right now. Consider that if you bought 2x 5970, that would be approximately half of your budget. Right now, the 5970 is the best card available, and it will pretty much crush any games you throw at it.

First, 850W would be enough for 2 5970s.

Second, if you have the budget, you might as well get the 2 5970s. It's not like its a budget build anyway...

If you haven't figured it out yet, it's an i7-920 build...

Here's a board that's more future proof. You've got the budget for it: GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD7. It has USB 3.0 and SATA 6 GBps ports, which aren't going to be needed for several years, but it might be a good idea to have them now.

Absolutely agree on not getting the Seagate 7200.11. Get a Samsung Spinpoint F3 1 TB. These are the best HDDs out right now, and cheap at $85.

Case: I recommend the HAF 932. It's $140, but one of the best available.

SSD: I'd get a smaller one. Maybe 80 GB. That'd save quite a bit and wont really make a difference overally. Probably be about $300.

I think with the 2xHD 5970s and everything I've mentioned and p55ibexpeak's mentioned, the total is $2,716 (maybe) for everything. Slightly over budget.

If you cut out the DVD burner and the CPU cooler (which should be bought later, or a different one), the total is $2,609, which is closer to budget.

You could possibly get an even smaller SSD (64 GB) and save an additional $140ish, which puts you under budget with room for a CPU cooler.

Serves me right for not researching it. That being said, I did indicate that I was uncertain.

If you're going to put in any other components that have high power demands, you might still want to go with a larger PSU. Not that a gaming machine will likely have anything of that nature.

WOW guys thanks for your responses. Iv looked into suggestions and decited to go with one 5970 and sdd 60gb~. But I got few more questions before buying.
I was thinking to buy Dell 2408WFP 24" LCD Monitor http://www.nextag.com/ultrasharp-2408wfp-prices/products-html , but I was wondering can you guys suggestion something better or something similar just for lower pirce. Like I said ill be using PC mostly for hardcore gaming and watching movies.
Another question would be. I'm not sure on the monitor, but I do know Dell has excellent monitors at low prices.

The Pis are much better. The most important spec is the CAS Latency. Pi: 7, OCZ: 10. A vast difference.

The difference between the F3 and WD is that the F3 uses 500 GB platters. Basically, the platter is surface the data is stored on. Larger platters mean higher data density, which means faster read, write, and access. In addition, it also means fewer moving parts, so it's also cooler and quieter. Basically, the F3 is better in every aspect than the WD. The other 500 GB platter drives are the Seagate 7200.12 (500 GB or 1 TB) and WD Caviar Black 2 TB. The F3s just happen to be the best of the bunch, not to mention the cheapest.

Dell doesn't have the lowest prices on LCDs, but they have the BEST customer service & free shipping & zero-dead-pixel guarantee. I'm keeping an eye on their larger LCD deals.
