Hello Toms community this is my first build and have always just upgraded old PC's and pre-built computers So this is my first computer im building form scratch. So i need some help on this i've built a hypothetical computer on http://pcpartpicker.com/p/w8GCXL so this site has an automatic compatibility sensor but because this is a big leap for me i want to be sure, I am mainly using it for gaming So my questions are this. Is everything going to fit and work? Is this a good Gaming PC build? Do you have any Suggestions? THANK YOU!

P.S. I know i have no monitors everything that is missing i pretty much have a plan for. I plan on using Windows 7 (i know windows 10 is out i just like 7 a lot) I already have a copy so i dont need a new copy. Thanks :)

Location is USA i almost forgot to put that!!

For gaming this would just kill the performance you have listed.

Nothing special on the motherboard it just works, I have used several. (no bells and whistles just meat and potatoes)
The FX processor is not what to use for gaming you can disregard the faster clock speed it means nothing to the processing power.
You can just plug in your old disc drive for loading the OS after that with everything on digital download their really no reason to have one.
The i5 4690 kills the 8350 in gaming performance and the upgrade from the GTX 960 to the GTX 970 is very big.
You could upgrade to 16GB of memory swapping these out with what I listed and still be in your original price range...
It will work BUT depending on the use if it's what to buy.
If you have windows7 HP you can only use 16GB of memory.
Bad power supply and for gaming you will never use anything close to16GB and 8GB will work just fine.
Good move not getting windows 10!

Im pretty sure my version is Windows 7 professional So would that allow me to use all 32 of ram then?

Yes it would and for gaming you would have 24GB more than you would ever use taking up money that could be put into the actual performance.
For gaming with the exact same hardware if you have 128GB and I have 8GB I will get the exact performance as you would.

Okay thank you i may take away from that into a better power supply, You have any ideas?

Okay ive went in a changed a few things, now is it just a bad hard drive or should i go with a SSD because i found this one that had a good amount of reviews
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

I can't thank you all enough for being so patient, So in terms of a performance im this is my current Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.150715-0600)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP Compaq dc7800 Convertible Minitower
BIOS: Default System BIOS
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
RAM:6 gig
So what you just presented how much of an improvement would this be?
When i built i kinda just went for the numbers game and So Becuase you think that the 4 core would work better than a 8 core at a higher clock (i trust you but to me that seems odd lol) so i would like to make sure i am getting at lease a noticable amount of improvement.

I keep reading that line as sarcastic But i really do trust what your saying :)

I knew about the HP disc But other than that you have helped so much! Thank you!!!! More than likely ill go with your build! Thanks
