Hey all,

I see a lot of these posts going up so thought I would put my current build idea up so people could offer experience/opinions.

Ok, so I am based in the UK and hoping to buid a basic gaming PC. I'm planning on spending between £500-600, and hoping that this system will enable me to play most current games (maybe even BF4/Skyrim) and allow for some upgrades when I get more money.

With the current set-up I have the possibility of upgrading one element, what should I do; upgrade CPU, GPU or motherboard?

So heres the spec (with possible upgrades):
1) CPU: AMD FX 6350 3.9GHz 6 core
2) GPU: AMD Radeon R7 260X 2GB
3) Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AM3+
4) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD
5) RAM: 8GB (2x 4GB) Corsair DDR3 1600 MHz
6) Case: Silverstone SST RLO1B
7) Drive: LiteOn iHas 124-04
8) Operatig: Windows 7 64-bit

Potential upgrades:
1) CPU: AMD FX 8350
2) GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB
3) Motherboard: Asus M5A99X Evo 2

I think that's it - I already have keyboard, mouse and monitor.

Cheers for your help.
(Also sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum section)

Thanks for the feedback.

So the cheaper motherboard is able to cope with the upgraded CPU and GPU? (Excuse my ignorance - never done this before!)

I like the build though. and is just within budget :p

Yup! This will run BF4 and future games much better.
