GTX 960 will be fine , if you want to play games at 1080p but their is another choice at same price R9 280 ..>>!!!
GTX 960 will run games very fine at 1080p while R9 280 will run games fine in more resolution >1080p...!!
GTX 960 beats R9 280 in 1080p games while R9 280 beats GTX 960 at >1080p Games

The build looks pretty solid. Only things I'd consider is an upgrade to the Sapphire Radeon 290x, and a consideration on a different monitor brand. BenQ may be perfectly fine, but I've never bought/seen one so I can't vogue for it.

I agree a very solid build.
Pending on how much you have to spend, consider a gtx 970 instead of the AMD 290.
They will be a new gpu release this year with AMD.
If you are considering later down the track to go crossfire or sli, I would consider a higher 80+ gold psu. (750 or 850W if going with nividia gtx series cards or 1000W if sticking with R9 290 or higher).

can't really spend any more than what i already have - i'm kinda over what i wanted to spend but what about a 960? i probably won't be over clocking so is it really worth getting higher psu?
