This is my first build so I'm a little nervous and need help picking the right parts. Any recommendations on a monitor and speakers and how does this build look?

All the parts are compatible. Do you want a blu ray burner or just a reader ? The EVGA motherboard is very expensive, do you really need it or can you go with a cheaper mobo? At $180 for the GTX260 i'd consider going with a 5770 instead. Make sure you check out combo deals at newegg, they can save you a chunk of money.

You want a Samsung F3, not an F1. Same price but newer and faster.

The least expensive good motherboard with socket 1366 is the ASRock x58 extreme. It got very good value reviews pretty much everywhere. EVGA is a top quality motherboard at a top quality price.

The 5770 (and GT260 and 4870) should play at high settings at that resolution, but not max. You will have to go up to a 5850 or 5870 (which are hard to find in stock) to max out games at that resolution.

Also look at the coolermaster HAF 922. It looks the same but is wider and shorter than the 932. Its also a good bit cheaper for not being much smaller.
