So this will be my first build. Always been into the hardware / software computer scene but never built a computer myself :p

The floor of my house is completely tiled. No carpets anywhere.

Can I just touch a metal non painted part of my case without connecting it to a wall outlet and be safe from static? Or do I have to connect my case to a wall outlet in order to ground myself?

I cannot buy an Anti Static Wrist strap since I live in rather a remote area and there are no computer shops round here and it will take around 4 days for Amazon to deliver it here :( I want to build my pc right now. Need some help guys :)

Thanks in Advance

If you don't have an anti-static wrist strap and don't want to plug your power supply in and ground yourself that way, then touching a non-painted metal area on you case will be fine. Make sure you make contact frequently.

I would change MystoPigz note to read: "Make sure you make contact [with your case] and the components you're handling continuously - or close to it." IE: Hold onto your case - the touch the bag say like for your cpu or ram, this would 'ground' your cpu's bag to the 'same level' as the case/mb. Then remove the cpu or ram from the bag - while still holding onto your case - install it. You could set your elbow on the edge of the case so you can use both hands :)
