[SOLVED] First build rookie

Specs are as follows:

Asus Prime X370-A motherboard
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 cpu
Wraithcooler on the cpu
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2x8) 2400
Radeon Sapphire R9 270X GPU
2 blue LED front fans (case default 120mm)
1 120mm back fan
CM Elite V3 500W PSU

Ive got the required PSU cords connected to the correct spots (CPU, MOBO, GPU, Fans, SSD). The PC turns on when the power button is pressed, but i dont get any beeps from the case speaker and no display to a monitor or TV. Any recommendations to help a rookie?

You most likely need a bios update to use a 2nd gen Ryzen CPU on that motherboard.

Yes I agree most likely you'd need to update the BIOS. Which you can't do without a 1*** series processor. Need a b450/x470 board

Ok, now ive got a Asus Crosshair VI Hero that says its 2000 series ready, but i still can get any display.

2000 series ready means it supports 2000 series, doesn't guarantee an updated bios, marketing gimmick. B450 board

You don't need to get a new board, just take your pc to a local pc store ask if they can update it for you. it likely won't cost more than $20 at most.

You could do as Finstar suggested. Id rather spend the $20 on a better board but either works.
