Been planning my first build for a while but was holding out for the new Ryzen announcements, now trying to prepare

Some brief info:
  • I live in West Australia and was hoping for a budget of roughly $1500 AUD
  • Will be primarily for gaming and home media use
  • Gaming performance is my main concern and while I largely play games with low demands the ability to comfortably play new releases into the future is important to me.
I'm also looking at investing in a VR setup soon so the capability to be able to play VR games optimally would be very welcome too although not necessarily mandatory.

Peripherals are relatively unimportant as I feel fairly comfortable in researching and making my own choices with regards to them but recommendations are still more than welcome!

I currently have a BenQ RL2455 monitor I purchased for playing fighting games on console and am unsure if I should use that for my PC or leave it for the ps4 and upgrade/try a dual monitor setup. Would I be better off going with a 1080p 144hz monitor or a 1440p one if I purchase a new monitor?

This is my part list at present, I have 2 SSD's listed because I was unsure which one was the better choice. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/Vk8N3b
