So I am finally getting my first custom pc and I wanted to get some advice.
I would like to have a white base build(which I don’t think I can do with my parts right now) or a black/red theme.
The parts I am currently planning on buying are as follows:
-AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with wraith prism
-MSI B450 Tomahawk Max
-MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Gaming Z 6Gb
-Corsair Vengence RGB Pro 16GB 3200MHz (2x8GB)
-Silverstone Essential ET650-HG Gold
-Seagate Barracuda 2TB
-Samsung 970 Evo NvME 500GB
I don’t know what case to get I have been stuck on it for so long I’ve gone between Corsair 175R, In Win 101 Mid Tower, Corsair 275R.

I also don’t know whether or not i should get extra
Fans straight away as well as get a better cpu cooler or too wait a bit and get 120mm fans later.

I have also been told too maybe go for a. 3rd gen AMD CPU as well as. maybe pick a different board such as the MSI X470.

Please give me and suggestions as well as advice where I should maybe put less money into or what parts I should consider swapping out for.

The motherboard is all right, therefore the only difference between x470 and b450 is that x470 supports crossfire/sli, which you are not going to use so go with that b450 tomahawk. If I were you I would definitely go with 3000 series CPU like r5 3600 or even r7 3700x depends on what are you going to do with it. And I recommend you going with some more fans cuz airflow in your case is important at least 3 fans 2 at the front 1 at the back. And when it comes to CPU cooler it depends if you are going to overclock it if yes then definitely get some AiO. And make sure that ramstickshave high CLK like 19 or 18.

the stock coolers might be a little louder so consider that as well.
I don’t exactly know what AIO but what cooler do you recommend? Also what case brand should I look into, thanks for that help though.

What will you use this PC for?

What's your total budget?

3rd gen is much better than 2nd gen all around. Massive improvements in games especially.
A B450 tomahawk max is fine with a 3rd gen cpu like a 3600 or 3700x.

A Sapphire 5700 pulse generally costs just a bit more than a 2060 but performs like a 2070

Much better CPU and GPU.

This comes with the stock wraith prism. Its pretty quiet and runs decently cool.

You could indeed add a better cooler and drop the HDD if you want.

I really would like to have some fun with ray tracing but wow that card does look good, also with that cooler would there be a video explaining water cooling too me because I never really thought about it and was also just going to go with air cooling.

5700xt is about the same performance as a 2070. With an overclock the 5700xt can perform close to a 2070 super.

In reality the rtx 2060 non super doesnt run raytracing very well. You are looking at like 40fos in 1080p with rtx on. And the 5700xt is much better when you arent using rtx.

I dont really like the looks of the msi evoke, but it costs much less than the sapphire pulse. The single fan rx5700xt run really really hot and really loud, so the msi is the best choice.

I could just keep with the 2700X and have the MSI Radeon RX 5700 8GB or I could just have a air cooled system which would take some of the costs off.
You have really opened my mind and I can increase my budget just have too pay few things first :D
Which would mean I could get AIO as well as 5700xt I think the thought of messing around with RTX really had me on Nvidias side. I have always used a Nvidia card for shadow play and for the fact I personally thought they were better (mainly due to my friends also using Nvidia cards).

Shadowplay was nice when i had a gtx card, but noe I have a radeon and can stream gameplay to my laptop using steams built in service (name escapes me)

Really its more complex than "intel is better than amd" or "nvidia is better than amd".

You have to look at the price of the 2 cards yiu want to compare and then look at performance and features (like rtx) in all of the titles you want.
