Hey guys i just wanted to ask you what do you think about my 1st gaming build, if you would change anything and why. I don't need to OC any of these components, since i never did that + that build is little over my budget. Thank you for all replies :)

PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i5-7600 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI H270 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX Motherboards - Intel
Memory: Kingston FURY 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
Storage: Corsair Force MP500 240GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card
Case: Corsair SPEC-ALPHA ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair RMx 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

What are you planning on running game wise, and what's your ideal budget? Also are you ever going to want to upgrade your CPU to overclock or not?

You can make this much cheaper:
7500 - it's not worth the $20 for speed that little.
B250 - There are B250 motherbords for $70 that will do just fine.
SATA SSD - I'm not sure you're gonna feel the speed on that M.2 SSD.
PSU - It's one of the best, yeah, but you can do with a good one half it's price - Seasonic S12II 620W

I won't say anything about the case, because it's very beautiful.

Simple pc master race, my budget is around 1 500$ (its 4 times more for me unfortunately), I may buy next CPU unlocked but it can be new socket (or something diffrent) required at that time.

CPU - I can't tell how big diffrence is just by %
B250 - I picked it because of rgb lights (not ''must to have'' for me but still looks cool), can you recommend me other motherboards ?
M.2 SSD - I felt the same way
PSU - Took enough power from good manufacturer

Thank you for compliment about the case i think the same way 😀

Heres the best I can do you for 1500...the processor should be enough to not bottleneck, and even if it does you'll still be getting crazy framerates anyway...

EDIT: Also I'm guessing you're going for a black and red theme so I tried to keep to that! :)

I don't know if you noticed but I used a GTX 1080 as apposed to 1070 for future proofing for a longer time. The processor could be upgraded to a K series processor later on. Also they mention they liked the LED on the motherboard so I used LED RAM to make up for the removal of that. The 512GB M.2 was for newer, higher end games and software so it all runs smoothly and 2TB is always good because if like me you end up downloading lots of films/indie games/sort of use it as a NAS, the space goes quickly.

Your Intel build is cheaper, yes, however i know if I had a $1500 budget I would want to fill it and get the most out of it :)

I have some questions:
1. Why micro atx ?
2. Do I really need 32gb of *LED ram? (I can buy more 2x8gb or 1x16 kit later don't you think?) - That would save money for CPU
3. Do I need m.2 ssd ? As lakimens said I may dont feel the speed and that would save $ for cpu too
4. Any reason for 2TB HDD ? (Not that it's bad)

Yeah i guess i will go with black/red color everything started with GPU 😀

@EDIT !!!

Didn't notice your answers.
As I like leds in my PC wouldnt be better led motherboard than RAM, also didn't noticed 1080

Well in the case of being conservative on money and getting the best bang for buck, I've sorted a list which will overclock should you want to, keeps the black and red theme, will run everything at ULTRA settings and looks good in the process:

Sorry for your effort but i don't want to overclock since my last unlocked processor ended with overheat.

I thought about your previous build but with 7500 or 7600

simply having a gtx 1080 wont do. to fully utilize a 1080 u need a 7600k minimum and a 2k 144hz monitor. otherwise its an overkill and a complete waste of money. 1070 is good till 1440p and pairs up with 7500 well. most probably the op has a 1080p monitor or is planning to get one.
256gb ssd is perfect for me. anything more is op's decision. 1tb too is enough imo. many ppl including me have portable hdd for movies to connect to laptops or tv.
even the ryzen build i stated there is an overkill if its just 1080p gaming, would probably go for ryzen 5 with mainstream mobo. not the oc x370.
spend ur money thrift n wise, dont just throw it away 😉

Thats why I ask you guys, I'm afraid that i will throw my money for something i won't use.

@EDIT
So what do you suggest for 1500$ ?

I would use this pc for 1080p gaming (ultra settings if possible 😀), I know 1070 is too good for this use but games will be more demanding in some years and i want to have this pc as long as it can run new games @60fps whichever graphic settings

This is a good build, for at least 3 years in the future. If you don't buy every year, I suggest you take this.
The motherboard has a few RGB's.
CPU is overclockable, but if you want to do high overclocks, I suggest you get a better cooler. This one's good, it's just not top of the line.
1080, for years to come.
SSD, for faster loading.
G3, because it's one of the best PSU's on the market.
Fast RAM, in case you ever do some work on it.

1. I won't oc anything at least not on this build or maybe in future when it won't be that much loss in case of overheat.
2. I really want that corsair case 😀 . It looks awesome.
3. As i said if you have better mb we can go without leds it's not must to have for me

for some future proofing, the ryzen build is a good platform. even if it doesnt perform better than kabylake(worst case scenario), it should be equal to the 7700k. so u just have to upgrade ur 1070 to a more powerful one in maybe 2-3 years.
i5 7500/gtx 1070 -> 2 years, full platform upgrade
ryzen/1070 -> 2-3 years gpu upgrade, 4 years platform upgrade
ryzen/1080 -> 3-4 years platform upgrade https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rQpfRG

Will games really require more powerful cpu in 2 years ?!! I want to run ultra settings on games that came out or will in short time (e.g. dishonored 2, overwatch, witcher 3 etc.), it's enough for me to play at lowest @60 fps (future games). Besides my current build is potato, it drops to even <20 on Leauge of Legends on lowest settings 1280x1024 so I don't really want to wait for ryzen.

the i5 7500 can last a max of 3 years. over that u cant play in ultra. med-high @ 60 fps? sure.

the only game as of now that i think which cant crank up 60fps in the 7500 is ashes of singularity.
witcher 3, bf1 @ 60fps ? no issues :wahoo:

Damn, that's more than enough for me at least 😀 , as I said I want to use this build until games won't run at least on low stable 60-70fps. I picked 7600 but I don't think there is much diffrence in performance.I will OC maybe in next build, I'm too fresh imo to do such things I'm afraid that I will overheat something like it happend before. Which parts should I take then ?

@EDIT
I don't even know the game but I know that it is pc killer for sure :).

since u dont wanna overclock now and ryzen mainstream mobo not released, go for 7500/1070.
the msi gaming pro mobo comes with auto oc profiles for ur gpu n fans. learn more about oc and build a proper gaming rig next time. cheers mate 😉

You know more than me, can I ask you to make that build or just change one I posted in thread?? (If there is anything to change)

Yeah, but this one is a good budget motherboard, that supports overclocking and has a few LED's.
You don't have to overclock now, that's why I didn't put in a high-end cooler, however, since you won't be changing the build for another 3 years, you might change your ,mind.
The case is your choice, they're about the same price.

You can go Ryzen, but you'll have to opt for the 8C16T, which much lower clock speeds than the 7700k.
AMD will release 4C8T CPU's, but it's unknown when, you might have to wait for it if you want it.

This build will last you 3-5 years, regardless of overclocking, the 7700k has higher clocks than the 7700 anyway.
It also fits the budget.
