Your CPU WILL bottleneck your GPU in some titles even when it's overclocked. Your case is too small for a GTX 970, and will require removing some drive bays. Other than that, no other comment from me.

whats your budget? if you want to stick with amd cpu get the fx8xxx series they come with more cores and clocked higher, if you can afford i would recommend you going for an i5 4690k with z97 mother board and OC it (could get to 4.5+) , also you might want to change that 1x8 ram to 2x4 unless you plan to add another module down the road, its better to take advantage of dual channel memory.

My budget is 650$. I could get enough money for another stick of ram later on, but probably not anytime soon.

Then you should just change your case because the video card wont fit as stated above.

If you plan to get more money later you can get now Intel Pentium G3258 (3M Cache, 3.20 GHz, only 2 cores ) with a Z97 mother board and OC it the good thing is that this mobo will let you get later an i3, i5 or i7 unlocked versions for OC... just saying if you go with amd try to get a mobo that lets you OC cause core per core intel is the king right now and amd can only compete when Over Clocking.

This is a more balanced build, yours would perform better in specific applications (that aren't gaming) but this will still run most modern games on high/very high settings. Also comes with an SSD for fast system startups, and you can put a SELECT FEW games on it for faster loading times as well. (but not higher FPS)
