how good are these parts? any tweaks anyone would make for a budget gaming machine?
thx

It looks okay.

Where are you buying from? You can get your hands on a 965 which runs a fraction faster core clock - link - for less than any 955 I can find. Plus, it's a black edition processor so it's unlocked.

Adimeister is right, a better graphics card would be good, if you can stretch to it. Perhaps this 7850 - link - as it would result in a big performance gain.

kk, i think i might try building the steam box, anyone heard anything about that? is it the right thing to do?

Get this build. It is a beast as compared to the one you planned on building.

(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Note: 1. I have not included the case here as i do not know what are your case preference, but any good enough case under 30 pounds would do..
2. If you want to cut some costs then go for the 7790 it is like 15 pounds cheaper.

Everything is available in UK as this is selected using the PCPartPicker UK, so availability should not be a problem. And it is more powerful than the one you selected. And you can also later grab another 650ti boost and then put both of them in SLI. That would be a good performer.

If you have any question, please feel absolutely free to ask that below.

I hope this helps. :)
