Nice build, the only thing I think really needs changed is the motherboard. get an asus Z97-a or something instead.

Dude why do you have to go and spread such lies?? An i7 is not, I repeat NOT going to make your gaming smoother compared to a 4690K . The 4690K is the best cpu for straight out gaming.

Please don`t go and do something stupid just because this guy know`s how to copy and paste specs from PPP... Save the money and enjoy what you quoted yourself on and then you can, if you want, add another 970 in the future!

There's really nothing from the first build that needs to be changed. I think it's a great build. An i7 isn't really needed as there are only a few games that an i7 is stronger than an i5. Or unless your doing video tasks (rendering, streaming etc), the $100 increase in cost is wasted.

The really only thing that you may benefit from is buying the Samsung 850 EVO over the Samsung 850 Pro and that's because you might be able to get a larger SSD for a similar price. I'm not sure what tasks your going to be doing, but evaulate if you're going to need the extra speed from the Pro. If that extra speed isn't needed, get a larger SSD.

Yes, right now games may not benefit from an i7, it won't affect it that much, but if he's gonna spend two grand, why not try to futureproof (Iknow, future proofing is never that effective, but, meh) the system? It's merely 100-150 more!
