Ok, good board. Uses the same VRM's as the Asus ROG series.

I'm thinking your components are not the issue. I'm thinking your lack of education is the issue. There's a lot more that's involved in OC other than just bumping the multiplier and vcore. There's sa agent, vccio, LLC, ring voltages, vid, current limits and several other settings to consider and all those have to be in sync with the rise of the multiplier as well.

Understand that you don't have a 3rd gen Intel that has tons of room for OC without changing much. Intel and Amd both are stretching stock performance of their cpus to 90-95% ability, so there's very little room for improvement, and that last 5-10% needs serious tweaking to be gotten. If just 1 setting is a little...

Why do you have the "need for speed" ?

Is it goal driven or a hobby interest.

I would start by reading the Tom's 10850 review and focus on the overclocking section. After I understood it I would replicate what they did and see if my chip is capable of what their sample did.

I'd start by visiting the ROG forums, those boys over there have a lot of fun with your mobo, cpu, OC theory and practices. Go read, everything and anything that pertains to how to OC a 10th Gen cpu, just learn the theory well, don't get hung up on specifics since every mobo, cpu, ram, combination, is a little different and what works for some doesn't necessarily mean it works for you. OC is all about trial and error.

Its most definitely lack of knowledge when it comes to this. Where can I go to find a good source that will be able to teach me along the way of overclocking.
Ive watching multiple youtube videos but I feel that it still isnt right, and your correct because I am still blue screening on start up and after I open some applications on the pc it will just bluescreen and tells me my pc has a problem, so after that i just go back into bios and change the voltage higher which is probably so wrong but I dont have anyone to ask and dont know what to do personally

What can I do to find out the answers I need. I cant even play on my setup right now because of the bluescreens so I would appreciate any help you can give me. Like how do I test my cpu for what its max can run at without having the temps get to hot, I have cpu z but I cant even run a bench because like I said it just blue screens so something must be seriously wrong, and again im sorry for the lack of knowledge. I probably shouldnt be trying to overclock lol.

Asus ROG forums, Overclockers, tech power up, Anandtech, Gigabyte forums, Msi forums, etc. Lots of places to find the theory. It's all the same, regardless of naming. OC of a 10900k is the same as a 10700k, 10850k. OC on an Msi Godlike is exactly the same as on your board. It's like turning a key, instructions just say insert key into lock and twist to the right, doesn't matter if that's done with your left or right hand, same procedure.

OC theory for 10th Gen cpu is the same for any 10th Gen, on any z590 mobo. What you need is the How and Why procedure info, not so much the exact OC setting. Google "OC 10th Gen cpu" and start reading, you tube is ok, but ppls questions and posts will have more answers you need.

If you need to, open up bios and start in the Ai tweaker tab. Google what LLC is, vid, ring voltage, go down the list of what settings you have listed and find out what each is, what relationship it has with other settings, what limitations they have etc. Learn the difference between VID and vcore and how LLC applies to VID, which then changes vcore. That's all OC theory.

Thank you, I appreciate it. You have been more helpful today than I have found in the last 2 weeks lol. I will start reading up on overclocking for beginners and go through toms overclocking guide and hopefully I will be able to achieve the speeds im looking for. Again thanks

And should I reset my bios settings as I have changed some things but its most likely incorrect.
