I am a weekend gamer and I am building my first gaming pc! So far I have made this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4HH8kL
I would love to have feedback and recommendations! The build I'm looking for is something under $600 with monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.

Note: OS not included because I'm going to use Linux since it has all the games that I need.

I like it. With really low-graphic games like those you can definitely go for a Pentium chip, assuming you don't stream.

This is just a touch over-budget. But you can overclock the Pentium decently, you get a graphics card that can run those games above 60 FPS, and you get a 144Hz monitor to get a really smooth gaming experience. You can drop down to a 260X if needed. Or drop to a 60Hz monitor and get a better GPU, but with those games I don't see it necessary.

Solution
I will use that build except I might use MSI PC mate mono instead because on newegg there is a combo with that specific board, saving about $49.99
