Hi,

I made my first pc and I pressed power button all fans are working but there is no image on my screen i waited for 5 minutes, idk why ppl say building a pc is like legos cos its not PC components are not cheap!

My components
Motherboard/ - MSI 970A/G43
CPU - AMD FX 6300 black edition
Graphics Card - Gigabyte Geforce gtx 950 OC
Ram - Crucial 8 gb
Psu - Xilence Red Wing ATX 2.2 450 watt

I have this audio thing i got with my pc case its like 3 inches or smaller i have no idea where to connect it.
Reason why i mention that is becos you are supossed to hear a beeping sound if something is wrong this motherboard doesnt have a speaker built in so i have this small speaker but i have no clue where to put it, spending hours online didnt help at all no one can tell me where it goes.
If there is someone that can help me plz!

changing components is not an option i payed 530 euros for this and dont have other components remember its my first pc build.

This is the second time i posted this cos no one on earth can tell me wth the problem is, its like no one has this motherboard!
FIrst i need to know where the stupid little speaker goes tht comes with the case i read it should be plugged into the motherboard but no one tells me where !

i tried various headers and i dont hear any beeping sound, Ive seeen many posts being solved all but mine, how is this possible am i truly the unluckiest person in the world

Solution
The build looks essentially alright cable wise etc.
Googling around, the issue with case speakers seems to be the norm.
They don't work on that board from what I've read for anyone.

You're essentially looking at a PSU or motherboard problem , both those components are the weak ones quality wise (I would never recommend either of them).

I have to ask , when you fitted the CPU - you did follow careful instructions.,?

As in lifting up the CPU locking lever before lining the CPU up & dropping it in,then relocking the lever before fitting the heatsink??

Also what connection are you using from the gtx 950 to your monitor??
& also what is your monitor model?

my drive letter is (E:) , its already formatted as NTFS and i already extracted the iso to the External harddrive

hahaha yea i know, i very carefully released the cpu and pulled it up straight and the cpu came along with it, very stupid of me when i forgot to open the lever first time i placed the cpu in, but its still working

did all of that , now wht do i do??

What I ssudvin a previous post .

Get your new PC.
1.Plug your external drive into one of the rear black USB 2 ports
2. Boot the PC while keeping jabbing the 'Del' key on keyboard to enter bios.

3. On the main bios screen , top right is a bar marked boot priorities, make sure the hard drive icon (rectangular box without a USB text) is dragged to the far left with the mouse.
4. To the right of the boot priorities bar is a small button with a + symbol.
Click this then click the hard drive with USB over the top.this will instaboot the external drive which should install windows.

its not doin anything, i did wht u said i have the harddrive but there are 2 harddrives u said without the usb text so i dragged the one without the usb text all the wy to the right clicked the + icon a screen pops up then i close tht screen then i click the harddrive, or do i have to click one of the 3 things in tht screen i see 2 UEFI something and 1 tht is ST31000528AS, do i have to click one of those 3 things?

Hi i double clicked UEFI ST31000.....and its now installing windows!!! omg thank u, so i heard u can keep this trial version forever......it wont force u to buy a license does it...?

Uhm...i really hate to be annoying cos i know i am....but how does one install drivers....i saw on my monitor tht quality aint tht great becos i havent optimized and installed drivers....how many drivers are there and how do i install them.
I assume i have to be connected to the internet for this.

Help me Grand Maester of the Citadel!

Thnks man i plugged it online and it downloaded everything for me including prompting me to download updat for graphics card

thanks for everything man, seriously i would still be hitting a brick wall without ur help, the pc works great everything is up dated, i installed windows on my ssd its really fast starts up in like 7 seconds tops.

The external harddrive that was used to install windows with is there any way of making it a regular HDD again?
I would like to use that as a 1 tb storage device in my pc.
