first pc build - thoughts

I am planning on building a PC in a few months for gaming. I do have some knowledge in the field of computers, but only basic stuff. After doing some research, this is what I've come up with so far. Any thoughts or opinions would be really appreciated, thanks in advanced!

Needs no BIOS update to use i5-7600k. Memory for CPU starts at 2400MHz for Intel 200 series chipset motherboards and 7th Gen CPU.

If you want to use the Intel 100 series Z170 motherboard that you picked out, a 6th Generation CPU would be required to flash the BIOS in order to use i5-7600k. A Celeron G3900 is about $45.

It was saying there was a problem with the BIOS but I didn't really understand what it was, thanks for clearing that up for me.

Your parts list includes a $150 liquid cooler. If this is your first build, are you sure you want to go straight to liquid cooling? Do you plan to overclock the CPU? If not, you might be fine with a $50 air cooler.

You also currently have DDR4-2133 CAS14 memory listed. You might be able to get faster memory - I see DDR4-2800 CAS15 for less (G.Skill Ripjaws V Series).
