First pc build

Solution
Well if you are not going to overclock (which I dont recommend on your first build) Then bump your i5 down to a 6500 and take off the Hyper 212 and just use the stock heat sync, then spend that money on a beefier video card. You will get better game performance on spending that money on your GPU rather than your CPU, specially if you arent going to overclock the K version. :)

Yep, that rig will render you with an overall better gaming experience. Looks damn solid.

With the skylake you can actually still do some overclocking without having a K processor if you get interested in that in the future. Then if you decide to add an aftermarket heat sync or a liquid cooler later you can. So I think youre set.

You could. All a motherboard gives you is features. A lower end one wont go any faster or any slower than a high end one. The difference is the higher end one will give you more features and better options for the future of the system. If you plan on upgrading the PC as the years go by I would stay with the z170. But if saving some money up fron and sacrificing a little of the expand-ability is more worth to you then do it. That one is very much up to you.
