Woohoo! I'm the first poster here! :)
What's the max resolution that you heard of for a flat panel display?

Yeah, but what's the highest resolution you ever heard of? Is it 800x600 or more?

I've got an NEC MultiSync LCD1525V which runs at 1024 x 768 and which I'm very happy with. It's not new and I'm sure there are higher resolutions out there.

My only complaint is that Graphics card designers and Flat Panel designers are still using VGA connectivity whereas digital IO would make more sense for a flat panel display.

Still, it is much kinder on the eyes.

Congrats! on the 1st post.
I work doing laptop repairs and all new models do a minimum
of 1024x768 . I would think LCD desk tops would fully suit.
If I could afford one I would not get anything less then 1600 by 1200, the more pixels the better.
The market is not growing as fast I had predicted, I would have figured I would own one by now.
Take care

I have not seen the 240T so no comment.

I do like the Samsung 150MP. (I think that's the model number). Only does 1024X768 but it looks great and has a built-in TV tuner. It also has two video inputs. (I don't know which type but I assume composite video). DVD playback looked pretty good, much better than I expected and better than a cheap TV. Very high contrast levels and adequate brightness. I can't vouch for the color accuracy

Expensive at $1099.

The 15" 150MP has two big brothers, the 17" 170MP and the 19" 190MP. I don't know the prices of these models. I think these model have increasingly higher resolutions but I am not sure.

hmm curious, i notice with laptops that when you go below 1024x768 the graphics get real sloppy. also are there any cheap alternatives liek pricing plans that anyone knows of that can get you at least a 174" LCD? this Viewsonic 19 i have is buring the eyes out!

174" is pretty big.
I have not done any real looking around for LCD's yet. I plan to get a 19" CRT with my next system simple becuase space is not an issue and money is.

Take care.

while it may not get the highest res. or be able to be hooked up to a pc the apple cinema display is THE best lcd screen i have ever had the pleasure to work with. ITS FU<KING 22" VIEWABLE!!!!!! 1600x1200 but its amazing go to compusa around u to check it out its worth your time (and no im not a mac user it just rox)

*boot to the cool*

I heard about those bad boys. Read that they won't be available for a couple years though. Supposedly they offer a resolution so high that even under 4x the human eye couldn't tell the difference between a real object and one on the screen.
