hello!
To keep things short, I am basically wondering how to use both an SSD and HDD drive when starting up a custom pc for the first time. I want to use the HDD for storage such as game directories, documents, etc, but I want the PC to use the SDD to startup games and itself quicker than with just an HDD. Any insight is appreciated! Thanks!

Install the OS on SSD. If you are not sure what is what or which one is the primary device, Plug only the SSD and install the OS. Then add the HDD --> partition and format via disk management.

When you are installing programs and games, keep the default directory to install it on the SSD. otherwise browse for your HDD partition to install them on your HDD.

Also when you go to properties of libraries(Documents, music etc) You can set up the path to use for. The defaults are on your SSD (C:\). You can add a folder on HDD's partition and set it as the default so it'll be used save your data.
what you do is unplug the hard drive data cable and install windows on the ssd. windows will make a main and system restore info under windows disk management. after windows is installed turn the pc off and plug the hard drive in. you may have to use windows disk tools to format and give it a drive letter. once that done just rember to install your nont used games to the hard drive. also in windows browsers set the download folder to the hard drive. most windows installers default to c so you have to go to advance mode on the installers to put large programs on the storage drive.
